These In-App Purchase Terms and Conditions («Purchase Terms») govern the purchase of products, services, or digital content within the FishWise: Complete Fish ID app («the App»). By making a purchase within the App, you agree to these Purchase Terms in addition to the FishWise Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. In-App Purchases
1.1 Types of Purchases FishWise offers various in-app purchases, which may include:
- Premium Content: Access to additional features, exclusive content, or advanced functionalities.
- Subscriptions: Ongoing access to certain services or content for a defined period.
- One-Time Purchases: Single access to specific content or features.
1.2 Payment Processing All transactions within the App are processed through the applicable app store, either Google Play Store (for Android devices) or Apple App Store (for iOS devices). By making a purchase, you agree to the terms and conditions of the relevant app store, which are independent of FishWise.
2. Pricing and Payment
2.1 Currency and Pricing All prices are displayed in the corresponding currency based on your device’s app store settings. FishWise reserves the right to change the prices of products and services at any time.
2.2 Payment Authorization By making a purchase within the App, you authorize the relevant app store to charge the full purchase amount to your registered payment method.
2.3 Taxes The price of in-app purchases may include applicable taxes as required by the local laws of your purchase location.
3. Subscriptions
3.1 Subscription Period Subscriptions may be offered in various periods, such as weekly, monthly, or annually. The duration of the subscription will be specified at the time of purchase.
3.2 Auto-Renewal Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel the subscription before the start of the next period. The relevant app store will automatically charge you the current rate at the time of renewal.
3.3 Cancellation of Subscription You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings in the relevant app store. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current subscription period, and you will continue to have access to the subscription content and features until the end of that period. No refunds will be provided for cancellations during an active subscription period.
4. Refunds and Cancellation Policy
4.1 Refunds All in-app purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or allowed by the relevant app store’s refund policy. If you experience an issue with a purchase, you must contact the app store’s customer support.
4.2 Purchase Cancellations If the relevant app store allows cancellations, you may cancel a purchase by following the instructions provided by that store within the allowed cancellation period.
5. Content and Licenses
5.1 Limited License By making a purchase within the App, FishWise grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the purchased content or features within the App for personal, non-commercial use only.
5.2 Restrictions You are not permitted to copy, distribute, modify, resell, or use the purchased content in any way not expressly allowed by these Purchase Terms or applicable law.
6. Changes to Purchase Terms
FishWise reserves the right to modify these Purchase Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you within the App or by other means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the new Purchase Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FishWise shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from any in-app purchase, even if FishWise has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
